Arkansas Advanced Energy welcomes Jenny Wiedower to the team

The Arkansas Advanced Energy Association (AAEA) and Arkansas Advanced Energy Foundation (AAEF) has hired Jenny Wiedower as Associate Director, Programs.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to align with the team at AAEF, who are champions for a future with abundant, affordable and advanced energy in Arkansas," Wiedower said.

With more than two decades of impressive experience in the energy and environment sector, Wiedower most recently worked with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as a Physical Scientist and policy advisor with a focus on workforce development and tax credits for energy efficiency homes. Prior to her work with DOE, she worked more than 13 years with U.S. Green Building Council, rising from Executive Director of the South Carolina chapter to Senior Manager of K12 Education. She also served as Director of the Navy Yard at Noisette Community Association, one of the largest sustainable redevelopment projects in the country at the time. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Rhodes College, and a Master of Science in environmental studies from the College of Charleston.

Wiedower leads a session for employers and training institutions to collaborate at AAEA/AAEF’s emPOWER Arkansas Conference & Expo in October.

As Associate Director of Programs, Wiedower supports AAEF's work to educate Arkansans on the impacts of energy to their quality of life and livelihoods; and create opportunities for connecting quality energy jobs with skilled Arkansans. AAEF is the 501(c)3 nonprofit arm of the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association and promotes greater public understanding of advanced energy in Arkansas through research, public education programs, and economic and workforce development.

The Arkansas Advanced Energy Association is the business voice for advanced energy in Arkansas. AAEA is dedicated to growing Arkansas’s economy through expanded utilization of advanced energy technologies, including energy efficiency, demand response, natural gas electric generation, solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, electric vehicles, alternative fuels and smart grid.
