Ways Employers Can Work with Arkansas Advanced Energy
Arkansas Advanced Energy partners with employers to strengthen the state’s energy workforce and help companies grow. We connect businesses with talent, training, and funding while providing practical tools to support hiring, retention, and long-term workforce development.
-
We help employers identify and access the right training for their workforce needs. This includes connections to SkillSync and other workforce partners, guidance on relevant training programs and higher education pathways, and support in locating manufacturer- or technology-specific instruction. Employers can also participate in externships to build relationships with future workers and shape real-world learning experiences.
-
Employers can recruit through the Arkansas Advanced Energy job board and workforce partners to connect with qualified, job-ready candidates. We help match companies with individuals trained for energy-related roles and emerging technologies.
-
Our industry reports and “101” guides provide clear, practical information on energy careers, workforce pathways, and market needs. Employers can also learn where career fairs are happening and what workforce and training funding is available.
-
We assist employers in finding and navigating workforce funding, including training dollars, wage support for employees while they are in training, and relevant grants such as those supported through OSD, CPRG, and other state and federal programs.
-
Employers gain access to proven models and practical guidance for hiring, training, upskilling, and retaining workers. These tools help reduce trial-and-error and support sustainable workforce growth.
-
We provide regular updates on licensure requirements, new funding mechanisms, and economic and workforce trends that affect the energy sector, helping employers plan and adapt with confidence.
-
Members of Arkansas Advanced Energy Association also receive one-on-one support to develop workforce strategies and programs tailored to their specific business needs, technologies and growth goals.
“I just wanted to say thank you for everything you’re doing. I genuinely appreciate you taking a stand for the industry. HVAC controls and energy efficiency play a huge role in our economy, and I think what you’re pushing for really matters. Creating proper training and clear career paths for people entering this field is critical, and I love that you’re working to bring new education opportunities to our state and partnering with colleges to embed these programs. From my point of view, this is exactly the direction we need to be going.”
